Meta Quest for Education is Meta's programme that brings Quest headsets into the classroom with centralised management tools, certified content and dedicated teaching support. It addresses the historical limit of consumer Quest devices: the lack of a school MDM and pre-approved libraries.
The supported headsets (Quest 3, Quest 3S) offer full VR, colour AR pass-through and fluid mixed reality thanks to advanced sensors and the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 SoC. Centralised management via Meta Horizon Managed Services lets the school IT technician assign content, control updates and block non-approved apps, keeping the ecosystem safe.
In upper secondary, Meta Quest enables virtual visits to museums and world-heritage sites (Anne Frank House VR, Machu Picchu, ISS), 3D anatomy labs and historical simulations of enterprise-grade production value. In ITS it supports technical training with vertical apps (maintenance, construction, healthcare) developed by industrial partners.
The main difference vs ClassVR is the library: Meta Quest accesses the full Meta Store (filtered for school use), guaranteeing up-to-date enterprise content. The main difference vs Wacebo VR is the absence of a native Italian educational library: Meta Quest is a global platform that requires content selection and curation by the teacher.
